About
A little about us…
Here at Hang Loose MN we have been making sure people have the very best experience on the water for over 14 years!
Hang Loose founder, Mike Jost, has taught and coached all over the world before setting up a “base camp” at Lake Carlos Marina in his hometown lake community of Alexandria, MN.
The Hang Loose team loves all things water and it's our passion to help guests get out on the lake to create lifelong memories, whether that's learning to surf an endless wave behind our Nautique G23, teaching people to fly on our Fliteboard e-foils or guiding a group of paddleboarders peacefully across the lake at sunset. When we aren't taking care of Hang Loose surf, SUP or e-foil goers we are busy renting pontoons, selling ice cream, pumping gas and whatever else the marina throws our way.
In the off season, you can find us in search of an endless summer, ocean surfing, biking or maybe even a quick visit to the mountains for some snowboarding. Mike’s wife, Rachel, and daughters, Jordan and Francesca, help run Hangloose MN. Frankie was a professional wake surfer for many years and is often found in the boat helping Mike coach Kids Kamp. We have two marina mascots, Victor John John, our Wire Haired Dachshund and Levi, our water-loving Boykin Spaniel.
We’d love to host you out on our lake or visit your special spot. Check out our marina offerings including pontoon and recreational rentals at lakecarlosmarinamn.com. We’ll put you on the calendar and make sure it’s one of the best times you’ve ever had!
